Rule Your Inner-Kingdom

What Do You Accept to be True?

What you accept to be true defines everything about your life & your character. Reality doesn’t exist, only our perception of reality. What you believe and accept to be true, is your truth, your reality.  Your reality is shaped by your thoughts, your thoughts create your mindset, and your mindset ultimately forms your very character: who you are. What you accept to be true has a direct impact on the choices you make throughout your life, as well as who you become as a person. It will direct your footsteps. It will shape your thoughts and mindset – it forms your very character. You are what you believe about the world around you, as well as about yourself.

The Battlefield of the Mind

If an army seeks to destroy a country, one obvious method would be the use of military attack. A far more subtle, yet highly effective and dangerous method would be behaviour control. The plan would be simple: slowly replace the values upon which the country was built with destabilising concepts, then hammer these concepts until they are accepted as truth.

What you accept as true, controls you. This maxim never fails. Whether the concept is fact or error, is irrelevant. Once you accept a certain concept or thought pattern as truth, it will control what you do and how you act. The mind holds more power to imprison you than physical imprisonment because your thought processes drive every life decision you make. For instance, are some of the decisions you make fear-based? If so, fear is imprisoning you.

Claim your Position of Power

Most times, the fiercest battle being fought is in the arena of the mind. But, if you have a solid foundation, you know what to protect and how to protect it – you can take back your throne and rule your inner-kingdom. When you have a deep understanding of your core values, you can use your inner-wisdom to fact-check any concept that seeks to destabilise your peace, your happiness, your self-confidence, no matter what situation you find yourself in.

When you protect your values, your values become the fortress that serve to protect you – you can secure your sacred quarters: your mind. You are now in a position of power. Guard your mind zealously against concepts that seek to destabilise your values. You can only be enslaved when you allow your mind to be captured. Refuse to open the gates to what doesn’t serve you by refusing to allow untrue concepts into your sacred quarters.

What thought pattern or concept that you have accepted as truth, seeks to threaten the peace within your sacred quarters? Is there a negative self-belief in your castle that steals from you? What is it stealing? Perhaps your self-confidence, your energy, opportunities, inner peace? Would you let an enemy into your castle?

Going to War with A Victory Mindset

If you had to think of a powerful ruler, who would go to the ends of the earth to protect their kingdom, who would it be? Imagine a ruler who has that fierce fight against anything that steals their peace, their stability, their constructive perception about the world around them as well as themselves. Who has claimed victory even before going into battle.

When you are:

1. Aware of what your true, core values are
2. Have the knowledge of how to protect them
3. Know exactly when to protect them

You are armed with your position of power. When you are armed, you are standing on ground that has already claimed victory. You have won the battle before it’s began.

Forever a Ruler of Your Realm

Your best version of who you are is you living in alignment with your core values. Picture yourself embodying the ruler that you were born to be: protector of your realm, your inner-kingdom. When your thoughts come under attack, or there is a situation that is out of your control, but it affects you deeply, you can claim back your victory with value-based questions:

1. What do you believe about yourself? Do you accept this as your truth?
2. What do you believe about the world around you? Do you accept this as your truth?

Does this thought pattern serve to flourish or destroy my inner-kingdom? These are your values, your values only seek to flourish your inner-kingdom, bringing you inner-peace, stability and happiness. If the answer is that it seeks to destroy, you need to reclaim your victory.

Victorious Values

Know that what you accept as your truth defines who you are, your mindset, your character, and the life you choose to create. When you have a deep understanding of what your values are, you are fully equipped to guard your sacred sanctuary. You have become a victorious ruler over your inner kingdom.

“I was uncertain going into a value finding session with Claire as to what I would get out of it. Following a casual conversation with guiding questions, she provided me with a comprehensive and insightful list of values and traits, many of which have been invaluable in helping me understand myself better. Claire provided a safe space for communication where I felt safe to be vulnerable and share”.
